This paper follows two complementary academic occupations: the philological exercise supported by collating all editions of the document studied, as well as the search and analysis of historical sources that allow the elucidation of a socio-political context in which Lame Chantre is understood. The foregoing demonstrates the need for an editorial treatment of Los pensamientos that decolonize the look on Lame Chantre and rescue the will of the author.
