Abstract

The structures used in the oral features of three sport events were characterized and compared. By the linguistic characteristics of the samples, the types of syntagms, the verbal times and the pauses were analyzed. For this purpose, ten minutes of the feature of each event were recorded and transcribed. Based on Mathon and Boulakia (2009), the commentators were identified and were distinguished one phase of narration and another of commentary in the fragments. Later, similarities and differences in the types of syntagms used by the commentators were determined, as well as their syntactic configuration in both phases of each event.
