GRANADOS ROBLE, Diana Carolina  and  LONDONO VASQUEZ, David Alberto. CRITICAL READING: AN OVERVIEW FROM THE CLASSROOM IN A HIGH SCHOOL OF TUNJA, COLOMBIA. Linguist.lit. [online]. 2020, n.78, pp.297-319.  Epub Nov 12, 2021. ISSN 0120-5587.  https://doi.org/10.17533/udea.lyl.n78a12.

This paper shows the results of an investigation whose objective was to strengthen the levels of critical reading of 9th grade students in a public school in Tunja (Colombia) in 2017. Thus, a diagnostic test was carried out, which allowed the design of pedagogical workshops and the implementation in the lessons. Subsequently, the results obtained in the diagnosis were compared with the final test and six participants of the 24 who took both were followed up. The results were positive given that the participants strengthened their critical reading levels and evidenced the development of capacities against textual properties.

Keywords : textual comprehension and production; high-school students; critical reading; pedagogical workshops.
