Psycholinguistics is essential within the training curriculum for teachers of the Spanish Language, as long as it emphasizes the study of the processes of textual comprehension and production. In this sense, the present study examines two pertinent discursive genres to be included as study material in the university classroom of this subject, for which functional systemic linguistics is used as a theoretical and methodological framework. The result is the description of the thematic nuclei and the linguistic structure of research articles in the area, from which the guidelines for a didactic intervention are established.

Keywords : psycholinguistics; degree in Spanish Language Education; systemic functional linguistics; discourse genre; reading comprehension.
