Abstract

VANESA, Alzate Restrepo; DIEGO ANDRES, Vasco Calle  and  JAVIER, González Ocampo. The effect of pH on morphology and electrical properties of polyaniline. Rev.fac.ing.univ. Antioquia [online]. 2006, n.38, pp.88-96. ISSN 0120-6230.

The effect of the solution pH on the morphology and conductivity of electropolymerized polyaniline was studied via scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and faradaic impedance. Although polyaniline grows in both acidic and basic media, it was found that films polymerized at pH higher than 2.0 suffer structural changes which affected polymer conductivity.

Keywords : conductive polymers; polyaniline; pH effect; morphology; electrical properties.
