Abstract

AGUAYO ALQUICIRA, Jesús; SANCHEZ, Abraham Claudio  and  VELA VALDES, Luis Gerardo. Fault detection in an induction motor drive based on the behavior of the power electronics devices. Rev.fac.ing.univ. Antioquia [online]. 2009, n.47, pp.145-154. ISSN 0120-6230.

In this work the fault diagnosis technique is applied to the one phase induction motor drive system. To carry out the fault detection, the voltage and current signals obtained directly from the converter behavior (residues) are used. The faults of interest to analyze can happen when control signals of the switches that compose the converter do vary. These faults are designated as lost of commutation sequence.

Keywords : Fault detection; fault diagnosis; drive; induction motor.
