Abstract

This paper describes the architecture, operation and performance of an optical packet switching node prototype with 2 wavelength/channels and label swapping capabilities. Also, the main subsystems of the node to route and forward optical packets at 10 Gb/s NRZ based on the155 Mb/s 18GHz- SCM encoded label are described.
