Abstract
GALLEGOS, A.; CARRASCO, C.; CAMURRI, C. and PESENTI, H.. Study of major variables for the establishment of electrolytic plasma at low power. Rev.fac.ing.univ. Antioquia [online]. 2012, n.65, pp.7-15. ISSN 0120-6230.
In this work we performed exploratory experiments aimed at understanding electrolytic plasma (EP), studying the variables that establish EP al low cell potential and / or low power. To do this we studied the effects of the relationship betwen electrode surfaces, conductivity and temperature of the electrolyte, resulting in conditions that allow the generation of EP to less than 250 Vcc. The results show that the use of inert solutions with conductivity greather than 4.1 mS/cm, area ratio betwen electrodes of 1:12 or greater and temperatures close to boiling point corresponding to the optimum for obtain EP al low voltages. The objective electrode was modified, forming nanograms in the surface with size between 14 and 24 nm.
