SALAZAR GOMEZ, Antonio José  e  CUERVO RAMIREZ, Diana Katherine. Test protocol for radiated emissions in medical electrical equipment: case study of telemedicine equipment. Rev.fac.ing.univ. Antioquia [online]. 2012, n.65, pp.33-45. ISSN 0120-6230.

The purpose of the present protocol is to provide a certification methodology for electromagnetic radiations disturbances in medical equipment, according to IEC 60601-1-2 and CISPR 11 standards. Tests were undertaken for telemedicine equipment in anechoic chamber with a spectrum analyzer connected to a biconical antenna (20 MHz a 200 MHz) and to a log-periodic antenna (200 MHz a 1000 MHz). Measuring distance was 3 m, so the radiation disturbance limits established by CISPR 11 were normalized. Low noise levels were registered in the anechoic chamber. Several disturbance radiations over limits were found in tests for the selected equipments. This is the first work in Colombia about electromagnetic radiations disturbances assessment for medical equipment using an anechoic chamber.
