Abstract

ESCANDON, Diana Marcela; HURTADO AYALA, Andrea  and  CASTILLO CAICEDO, Maribel. The influence of export barriers above the export commitment and its impact on international outcomes. Rev. esc.adm.neg [online]. 2013, n.75, pp.38-55. ISSN 0120-8160.

This article describes the relationship between export barriers above the export commitment of Colombian exporters, and the influence of such commitment on international outcomes of this type of company. To reach this aim, a sample of 270 Colombian exporters was taken for study and a structural equation model was estimated to prove that export barriers negatively affect the export commitment, and the corresponding international outcomes, but its effect can be reduced when applying better company management or export commitment practices, focusing on the promotion of international trade.

Keywords : International business; Exportation barriers; Export commitment; International outcomes; Company management.
