FLOREZ-LEGUIA, María Katherine; VALENCIA, José Julián  and  SIERRA, Sebastián Sierra. Neuroendocrine tumor arising in Meckel's diverticula. CES Med. [online]. 2018, vol.32, n.3, pp.294-300. ISSN 0120-8705.  https://doi.org/10.21615/cesmedicina.32.3.11.

Meckel's diverticulum is the most frequent congenital malformation of the gastrointestinal tract and can be complicated by inflammatory, infectious or tumor processes. The incidence of tumors in a Meckel diverticulum is 1.44 per 10 million people per year. We report a case of intestinal obstruction secondary to a neuroendocrine tumor in a Meckel's diverticulum and we conducted a review of the literature on this subject.

Keywords : Meckel's diverticulum; Neuroendocrine tumor; Bowel obstruction; Desmoplastic reaction.
