Abstract

Acute liver failure is the worst consequence that the liver suffers after any insult. Despite of a mayor understanding in the pathogenic mechanisms which explain the symptomatic constellation and its complications; there has been a very few advances that significantly improve the complex clinical course of these patients. A better understanding of the clinical history, its complications and its earlier recognizing is the current best alternative to improve the deadly and grim prognosis that usually accompany this feared disease
