Abstract

CARRENO, Natalia; VARGAS, Ángela; BERNAL, Adriana Jimena  and  RESTREPO, Silvia. Biotic contraints of the Solanaceae caused by Phytophthora, Alternaria y Ralstonia in Colombia. A review. Agron. colomb. [online]. 2007, vol.25, n.2, pp.320-329. ISSN 0120-9965.

The Solanaceae family is considered the third most economically important plant taxa and the most valuable in terms of vegetable crops. In Colombia, the most cultivated species of this family are constantly attacked by pathogens, which limit the production and reduce the quality of the products. In this review, we present a summary of published Colombian research regarding the tree most important pathogens of Solanaceae family: Phytophthora, Alternaria and Ralstonia.
