Resumen

MUNOZ, Luis Alfonso  y  LUCERO, Any Mercedes. Effect of the organic fertilization in the cultivation of potato native Solanum phureja variety. Agron. colomb. [online]. 2008, vol.26, n.2, pp.340-346. ISSN 0120-9965.

The present work consisted of evaluating the yield of Solanum phureja with the application of chemical fertilizer 13-26-6 in dose of 0, 600, 900, and 1,200 kg·ha-1 and organic fertilizer in dose of 0, 800, 1,000, and 1,200 kg·ha-1, for that was established a trial in the locality of Villa Nueva, municipality of Providencia (Nariño, Colombia). The results showed that the joint fertilization of chemical fertilizer 13-26-6 and organic fertilizer in dose of 300/800 kg·ha-1 gave the greater yields of first and total of S. phureja with 6,366.7 kg·ha-1 and 13.888,9 kg·ha-1 respectively. Furthermore, it was found that, for the native potato cultivation, the adequate quantities of organic fertilizer are between 800 and 1,200 kg·ha-1 and the better chemical fertilizer dose was that of 300 kg·ha-1. In the locality evaluated, the results showed that the cultivation of S. phureja reacted favorably concerning yield with high dose of organic fertilizer, but the dose 900 kg·ha-1 of chemical fertilizer 13- 26-6 did not increase the production, possibly due to the fact that the greater quantities of nitrogen impact in an excessive development of foliage and not of tubers. The economic analysis demonstrated that the treatment 300/800 kg·ha-1 of chemical fertilizer and organic fertilizer was the one which had the greatest cost-benefit relationship.

Palabras clave : chemical fertilizer; organic fertilizer; economic analysis.
