The economic analysis of state university companies allows finding the critical points that exist in them and, in the same way, it serves as a mechanism to look for solutions to the existent problems in these through administration plans and production chords with the purpose that they complete in connection with teaching functions, investigation and extension. The university experimental station Tunguavita of the Pedagogical and Technological University of Colombia (UPTC) located in Paipa (Boyacá) presents problems of profitability associated with the way of administrative and technical management. The dairy farm as a productive unit doesn’t escape from this particular situation.
