Abstract

PEREZ, Liliana C.; RODRIGUEZ, Luis E.  and  GOMEZ, Manuel I.. Effect of soil fractionated fertilization with N, P, K, Mg and micronutrient (B, Zn, Mn) response yield and quality of Solanum phureja Criolla Colombia variety. Agron. colomb. [online]. 2008, vol.26, n.3, pp.477-486. ISSN 0120-9965.

Effect of soil fractionated fertilization with nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium, magnesium, and application boron, manganese and zinc was evaluated on the growth, development, yield and tuber quality in the potato variety "Criolla Colombia". A randomized blocks design was used in a factorial structure 24+2. Statistical differences were presented for growth and development, yield and tuber quality variables. Any effect on interactions among minor elements was observed, thus the analysis was focused on N-P-K-Mg fractionated fertilization effect and fertilization with boron, manganese and zinc. The non-fractionated fertilization with N-P-K-Mg favoured better foliage development and increased yield, therefore fractioned fertilization is not recommended. A positive response to boron application was reflected on yield. It was found that its response is complementary to the accompaniment of nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium and magnesium fertilization. The specific gravity variable presented values higher than 1.088 while dry matter content was higher in the control treatment and in those where the fractionated fertilization was carried out; manganese application was related with increases in dry matter content possibly contributing to higher net photosynthesis.

Keywords : micro-elements; production; specific gravity; dry matter.
