Abstract

FONSECA MENDOZA, CLARA INES. Methodological proposal for the analysis of the relations between speech and identity. Cuad. linguist. hisp. [online]. 2013, n.22, pp.61-74. ISSN 0121-053X.

Abstract This article presents a methodological framework for analysis of the relations between discourse and identity, based on the Appraisal Theory and on the consideration of global and local meanings and the way these lead to strategies of positive self-presentation and negative presentation of others. The relation between discourse and identity is associated to a study on forms of everyday racism perceived in Cartagena. This is a methodological proposal; for that reason, there is no discourse analysis in stricto sensu.

Keywords : Discourse; identity; perceived discrimination.
