TORRES CRUZ, DORIS LILIA y HURTADO, LUZ MARCELA. Control Mechanisms that Determine Identity through Language in a School Environment. A Study for Social Interaction. Cuad. linguist. hisp. [online]. 2016, n.28, pp.19-40. ISSN 0121-053X. https://doi.org/10.19053/0121053X.4906.
Abstract The objective of this research project was to determine some of the control mechanisms that contribute to identity formation in a school environment. The methodology applied to this work was that of exploratory and descriptive research. It was found that, in school environments, control mechanisms are created that determine identity. Likewise, it was detected that the percentages of violently-charged linguistic participation in schools are in direct proportion to the contexts and micro-contexts where these subjects act. There are invisibilized control mechanisms behind institutional ones, and those hidden mechanisms possess a greater power than official criteria.
