Abstract

DURANGO GUTIERREZ, LUISA FERNANDA  and  VARGAS GRAJALES, FRANCISCO. MANAGEMENT OF THE BURNT PATIENT. Iatreia [online]. 2004, vol.17, n.1, pp.54-61. ISSN 0121-0793.

Initial resuscitation, early management of haemodynamic problems and respiratory failure are probably the most important intervention to increase the survival; however, complementary therapy, such as infection control, prophylactic care, wound management, nutrition, analgesia and patient comfort, are essential in improving outcome.
