Abstract

PORTILLO VALDES, José M.. A Historiographic Projection of Cádiz. Between Spain and Mexico. hist.crit. [online]. 2014, n.54, pp.49-74. ISSN 0121-1617.

This article is simultaneously conceived as both a historiographic recapitulation and projection. As the former, it attempts to illustrate the important progress that has been achieved in terms of historiographic knowledge regarding the era of the crisis of the monarchy and the rise of constitutionalism in the Hispanic world. As the latter, it attempts to point out the questions which the author believes could constitute research topics based on the knowledge accumulated in recent years as a result of revolving around the bicentennial celebrations.

Keywords : Mexico; Spain; Constitution of Cádiz; historiography; constitutionalism.
