Abstract

This research seeks to make a description and a dogmatic-legal analysis of the regulatory system in Chile regarding rainwater. As a secondary purpose, it intends to conduct a brief review of a sector of the comparative regulations regarding a regulatory system on rainwater. It describes first some countries' general legal systems for water regulation, mainly what their constitutions prescribe. Then, the Constitution of Chile, the legal regulation represented by the Water Code and Law 19,525, and the regulatory regulations in this regard will be discussed. Then, the results of this analysis and some critical observations will be presented.
