Resumen

TOLOZA MORENO, Deisy Lisseth  y  LIZARAZO FORERO, Luz Marina. Microbial Populations Associated with the Rhizosphere and Phyllosphere Plants of Cape Gooseberry (Physalis peruviana L.). rev. cienc. [online]. 2014, vol.18, n.2, pp.27-38. ISSN 0121-1935.

Tropical plants including cape gooseberry (Physalis peruviana L.) are associated with different microorganisms, which carry out various processes such as improvement of availability and absorption of nutrients, decomposition of organic matter, protection against pathogens, decreased levels of chemical fertilization, among others. In this study, bacterial and fungal communities associated with rhizosphere and phyllosphere of cape gooseberry plants from Cienega (Boyacá) were identified. The samples of root, rhizosphere soil and leaves of plants were selected randomly in field. Subsequently, for the isolation of bacteria associated with rhizosphere soil, and for isolation the root and leaves of endophytes and epiphytes bacteria, and epiphytic yeast and filamentous fungi in the phyllosphere, serial dilutions were made. The abundance of endophytic bacteria was higher in the two niches, with a predominance of Gram negative bacillary with 54.36% in rhizosphere y 48.32% in phyllosphere, being the most common genus Pseudomonas. As for to mycobiota epiphytic of the phylloplane, Rhodotorula spp., was the most identified with 68.18%. Therefore, it is necessary to know the microbiota associated with cape gooseberry crops as a first step to establish alternative future biocontrol against different pathogens both soil and foliar
