Abstract
MENDOZA A, Paola A and TORRES G, Celina. Determination and Comparison of Microfungi in Soil in a Premontane Wet Forest in Dagua, Valle del Cauca. rev. cienc. [online]. 2016, vol.20, n.2, pp.27-35. ISSN 0121-1935. https://doi.org/10.25100/rc.v20i2.4671.
The aim of this study was to know the variations in fungal microbiota as well as to compare diversity, richness and abundance of soil filamentous fungi in two areas, disturbed and non-disturbed tropical wet soils (premontane-wet) in the municipality of Dagua, Valle del Cauca. Different genera of micro-fungi were identified and the diversity (Simpson), abundance and richness were calculated. 30 samples were taken during twelve months (15 in non-disturbed and 15 in disturbed tropical wet soils). For the isolation procedure four dilutions were used (10-2 - 10-5) and seeded in PDA. For the identification, the samples were observed using an optic microscope.
The study found 17 genera for each area (disturbed and non-disturbed) and 27 morphotypes for both areas. The ANOVA analysis found no significant differences in diversity (p=0.88), abundance (p=0.28) and richness (p=1.47). Unique species were found in each area, such as, Botriotrichum morphotype, which was only found in the disturbed area. Likewise, Penicillium sp2, Mortierella sp1and Colletotrichum sp were only observed in the non-disturbed area considering these morphospecies as being native from bh-PM.
