Abstract

ESPINOZA LIZAMA, Claudia. A Methodological Proposal for the Establishment of Areas at Risk for Landslides in Chile. Cuad. Geogr. Rev. Colomb. Geogr. [online]. 2013, vol.22, n.2, pp.145-169. ISSN 0121-215X.

Abstract This study proposes a methodology to delimit areas at risk for landslides, on the basis of the analysis of the following studies carried out by the University of Bío-Bío: "Study of Earthquake and Tsunami Risks for the Coastal Communities of the of Bío-Bío Region, Chile" and "PRC Risk Study-Anti-seismic Report for Renaico, Araucanía Region of Chile". In Chile, the Communal Regulatory Plans (PRC), the main regulatory instruments for risk-planning in the national territory, lack specific methodologies to adequately identify areas at risk for landslides.
