Abstract

DUVAL, Valeria Soledad  and  CAMPO, Alicia María. Microclimate Variation Inside and Outside the Calden Forest (Prosopis Caldenia), Argentina. Cuad. Geogr. Rev. Colomb. Geogr. [online]. 2017, vol.26, n.1, pp.37-49. ISSN 0121-215X.  https://doi.org/10.15446/rcdg.v26n1.42372.

Abstract Climate and vegetation are physical space variables that have a constant dynamic relationship and interdependence. The flora modifies the climatic elements resulting in a microclimate whose characterization is based on regional climate conditions and vegetation structure. This work compares the climatic variations (inside and outside) of the Calden Forest in the Reserva Provincial Parque Luro. We analyzed and compared the values for temperature, relative humidity, direction and speed of the wind and precipitation of two weather stations for 2012. We demonstrated the influence of the forest in the climate parameters and found that variations were greater in wind speed, daily temperature and rainfall.

Keywords : Calden Forest; microclimate; weather stations; climatic parameters; Reserva Provincial Parque Luro.
