Abstract

This article presents some relevant aspects of the investigation requested from the Institute of Research on Education of the National University of Colombia by the Ministry of National Education. The purpose of the study was the characterization of the models of training teachers; in that direction was made a balance of the question taking a sample from teachers who are studying a Master in Education of the Institute. One of the hypothesis of the study considered that the origin of the problem in the training of teachers in the country is of structural character, due to the cracks of the educational Colombian system what does not allows qualify their processes of professional training. The study concludes that the consistency of the educational politics, its continuity and its articulation in the nation project, with political of State, is the best warranty for foresee a more coherent educational system.
