Abstract

LOCKMANN, Kamila. The Reconfigurations of the Imperative of Inclusion in the Context of a Conservative Neoliberal Governmentality. Pedagogía y Saberes [online]. 2020, n.52, pp.67-75. ISSN 0121-2494.  https://doi.org/10.17227/pys.num52-11023.

The text supports the argument that we are living, in the current Brazilian context, a reconfiguration of inclusion as a state imperative. Since the establishment of a conservative neoliberal governmentality, inclusion no longer seems to constitute the ultimate rule of neoliberalism, and exclusion reappears as one of the strategies of the population's governorship. The text presents a brief discussion on the bill, in process in Brazil, that authorizes home schooling for basic education. The arguments used present the exclusion transformed into a right: the right of families to choose or not to choose education at home. Faced with this situation, it is argued that the political principle of the common can be configured in a strategy of resistance to neoliberalism, enabling other forms of being and living in the world.

Keywords : education; exclusion; governmentality; common.
