Abstract

MEJIA-CORREA, María Paulina  and  FERNANDEZ-FUENTE, Sofía. The Enigmas that Give Rise to the Desire to Know. Pedagogía y Saberes [online]. 2020, n.52, pp.105-115. ISSN 0121-2494.  https://doi.org/10.17227/pys.num52-9954.

This article is the result of an investigation into the notion desire to know in the work of Sigmund Freud, which allowed us to build four categories, namely: enigmas that give rise to the desire to know; educators in the face of children's research; the components of the desire to know; and the desire to know: between repetition and invention. In this article we present the first category which allows us to share that the subjective enigmas that give rise to the desire to know in the child has to do with its origin, sexuality and death. We will address the avatars that the child goes through in front of these questions, and then enter the oblivion as a necessary psychic operation that hides these questions, but which in turn allows the subject to carry out new investigations that are more than circumlocutions of their first riddles.

Keywords : desire to know; research; enigmas; origin; sexuality; death.
