ACOSTA-MARROQUIN, Nadia Paola. Teacher Training on Childhood Education: Review of Research Trends. Pedagogía y Saberes [online]. 2020, n.53, pp.83-96. Epub May 10, 2021. ISSN 0121-2494. https://doi.org/10.17227/pys.num53-10402.
This review article describes a part of the literature review used for the development of the doctoral thesis project entitled "Configuration of the professional field of children's education in Colombia from 1976 to 2015". The aim of this research is to problematize the processes through which the training of early childhood education teachers has passed. Here we present a bibliographic review on the perspectives from which ECE teacher training has been studied, an exercise that has allowed us to understand the configuration of the professional field of teachers dedicated to this work. From this academic exercise, some trends are established from which theoretical, analytical and methodological positions are revealed, which give relevance to the history, regulations, professional knowledge of the early childhood educator, as well as the competences and quality of education. Furthermore, this analysis allows us to recognize the relevance of the research proposed and the need to understand the object of study from a reflective and critical perspective.
