Abstract

SAENZ-PINZON, Julie Pauline. The Forgiveness and the Promise: Alternatives to Solve Conflicts between the Victim and the Perpetrator. Pedagogía y Saberes [online]. 2023, n.58, pp.163-172.  Epub Jan 01, 2023. ISSN 0121-2494.  https://doi.org/10.17227/pys.num58-16888.

In this text, the philosophical significance of the concepts of forgiveness and promise is shown as the only alternative to get that the victim and the offender can live and overcome the consequences of their own acts of irreparable human affairs, according to the premises of Hannah Arendt in her book The Human Condition. The function of oral speech is analyzed in order to get the forgiveness and the promise, so to warranty the coexistence in violent contexts like Colombian one. With this reflection, it is possible to conclude that the dialogue, in different environments like education, culture, etc., must ensure the peace.

Keywords : action; politics; human condition; forgiveness; promise.
