Abstract

MENA BERNAL, Eduardo Ernesto. The Uses of Knowledge. A Review of Max Stirner’s Educational thought Regarding a Classical Pedagogical Discussion. Pedagogía y Saberes [online]. 2023, n.59, pp.93-102.  Epub July 01, 2023. ISSN 0121-2494.  https://doi.org/10.17227/pys.num59-17574.

94 Knowledge is usually taught in two antithetical ways: humanistic and pragmatic. In consequence, education tends to be developed, on daily basis, in two opposite types. Likewise, nowadays knowledge has been politized due to perspectives (like critical theory), which tangle educational processes. Nevertheless, thinkers like Max Stirner, who are not commonly approached by Pedagogy, could offer ideas that allow us to solve the aforesaid conflict. His mighty text, The false principle of our education, expresses worthy ideas to nuance and contextualize. Therefore, the thesis of this article is that Max Stirner suggested intellectual and practical ways to use knowledge to defend the person in the educational processes ruled by the two types of uses of knowledge.

Keywords : use of knowledge; humanism; realism; personalism; education.
