This article aims to establish an approach related to the urban space transformations, in order to understand the permanent change of its uses and forms, considering the co-existence of antagonic processes or “worlds” within the urban space. The article highlights the theoretical discussion around the conception of space, socio-environment and management problems, as well as the limits of technique in the whole process of urban planning and development. The final reflexions intend to contribute to a better urban management system, including its challenges and future suggestions.
