Abstract

Faced with the alarming situation of violence that prevails not only in Colombia but also in Barranquilla, it is important to conduct an investigation that will contribute to the evaluation of programmes directed to the attention of this scourge, in order to measure the benefits of new models contribute to addressing this problem. What was intended in this research was to analyze the results of Project: Comprehensive Care and Prevention, Women and Child Victims of Domestic Violence in the area of influence of the House of Justice La Paz neighborhood of Barranquilla (Colombia)period2003, in its Process Attention concerned, so it possible to measure the performance, sustainability and impact of the same institutions and beneficiaries. Thisproject revealed much more depth characteristics of the problem of domestic violence in apopulation of the city as well as take steps in the process of Care and Prevention performing makers and institutional support for the reduction and eradication of this problem in the area.
