Public space as a structuring element in the city and the urban system offers great intervention opportunities to impact the culture and environmental quality. This research was successful as part of their results to prioritize the 15 most important environmental variables, from which it is achieved to potentiate in the public space the improvement of urban environmental quality and environmental culture in intermediate cities. The intervention of the variables identified facilitates the municipal management in order to improve, preserve and conserve this area as part of the building of more sustainable cities.
