Abstract

Havana is a city with a strong maritime condition that holds potentiality for tourism development. This economic sector has experienced significant growth in the last 20 years, and it is estimated that it will keep growing in the future. This paper aims to characterize the tourist activity in the country and in Havana specifically, the most outstanding aspects of the relationship maritime-tourism in this city. Bibliographical revision, the synthetic method and the primary observation in the fieldwork were used. As a result, it contributes to the knowledge of the existing relationship among most of the coastal Cuban settlements.
