Abstract

The characterizations of populations have as objective to highlight social, political and cultural realities. They allow to obtain reliable knowledge of the current state of the living conditions of a society or a particular community in large and in turn issues, for instance, health, economy, culture, the degree of inclusion of minority populations and level of political participation, and then, once the case, lead to the generation of public policies aimed at design and implementation of contextualized programs and projects according to the needs of specific populations, projects that enable effective social and economic development.
