This article analyzes the utility of the sociability concept as an historic category. We have used especialyzed bibliography, going from the sociological aspect to the historic one. On the text, we have that the sociability concept is essential at the moment of the analysis of the societies in the past and their political process, this is because it allows to observe the political machination form the point of view of the actor's relationships going over the forced limitation of "The right (conservative)" and "The left", the liberal and conservative in the Colombian case. In the same case, we find as a conclusion that the sociability concept needs to be added into the time and space, otherwise, it could turn into an ambiguous term that also can remit all the historical process or none of them.

Keywords : Sociability; politicization; social relations; policy.
