POSSO MENCO, Laura  e  VEGA C, Jair. The right to the protection in the imaginary of boys and girls from the department of Atlántico (Colombia). Investig. desarro. [online]. 2015, vol.23, n.1, pp.139-164. ISSN 0121-3261.  https://doi.org/10.14482/indes.22.2.6615.

This paper presents the results of the characterization of the social imaginary about the right to protection that children between 7 and 12 years old from two schools from Manatí and Malambo municipalities of the Atlántico department, have. Given the theoretical approaches of Pintos (2005), conducted a qualitative reading of the way that social imaginary are constructed and operated by children as holders of rights, to the right of protection in order to open alternatives to situations of violation of child rights. From an descriptive analysis using the techniques of focus groups and content analysis with software processing qualitative data Atlas-Ti, it was possible to identify, describe and carry theoretical contrast of the imaginaries: family as protector territory, the imaginary of public space as a denied territory, and the imaginary of institutions as responsible for child protection.

Palavras-chave : Social Imaginary; childhood; right to protection.
