Abstract

RIVERA DE ROSALES, Jacinto. Schiller: The transcendental need for Beauty. Estud.filos [online]. 2008, n.37, pp.223-246. ISSN 0121-3628.

Schiller′s thought on Beauty is considered in his piece: "On the Aesthetic Education of Man in a series of letters" (1795). This thought on Beauty, influenced as it was by Kant and Fichte, projected itself towards Romanticism, and presents itself as a Transcendental Necessity for the Configuration and Education of A Complete and Free Man, a process that would culminate in the Aesthetic State.

Keywords : Schiller; Beauty; Kant; Fichte; Transcendental; Aesthetics.
