Abstract

CARDONA-VASQUEZ, Maritza; CORREA-MAGANA, Maira; SANCHEZ, Yady Viviana  and  RIOS-ATEHORTUA, Leidy Dahiana. Attitude towards Science in Pre-School through the Implementation of Didactic Sequence in a Museum. Rev. Fac. Cienc. Tecnol. [online]. 2017, n.42, pp.115-124. ISSN 0121-3814.

In this research paper we will talk about the project carried out as part of the Teaching Practice I, II and III courses of the Bachelor's Degree in Child Education from Universidad de Antioquia in 2016. In the project, we addressed education in non-conventional spaces, such as scientific-technological thematic museums, in terms of the museum-school relationship. We chose the qualitative paradigm developed under the case study research approach, which made it possible to observe the attitudes towards science between boys and girls based on the didactic sequence and enabling the realization of the systematization and analysis of the data. It paved the way to talk about the results obtained, which were addressed through a method comprising three sections that bring together the categories of analysis: attitudes, science gender image, and didactic sequence. Finally, we conclude by discerning the feasibility of carrying out the didactic sequence in the museum; in this respect, the children and the adults who accompanied them said that they had enjoyed the activities, as they helped them to internalize the scientific issues learned.

Keywords : Attitudes towards science; didactic sequence; boys and girls; museum-school relationship.
