Abstract

MERCHAN BASABE, Carlos Alberto. Pedagogical Modeling of Virtual Learning Environments (VLE). Rev. Fac. Cienc. Tecnol. [online]. 2018, n.44, pp.51-70. ISSN 0121-3814.

Aiming to contribute to the discussions addressed by pedagogical teams upon beginning the processes of virtualization and design of educational situations mediated by information and communication technologies, we present some of the conclusions we have reached with the Episteme research group, after directing courses and final dissertations for the specialization and master's degree in Information Technologies Applied to Education of the School of Technology of Universidad Pedagógica Nacional (Colombia). These reflections have elucidated how the educational situation is designed for virtual learning environments (VLE) from the cognitive, technological, communicative and pedagogical models, which are explained in the first part of the paper. Then, as an example, we propose a hypothetical educational situation and illustrate the way in which these design decisions are made. The evaluation is not addressed, which will be the subject of a later article.

Keywords : Virtual learning environments; pedagogical modeling; cognitive modeling; technological modeling; communicative modeling.
