Abstract This study was conducted because of the existence of many debates about Parental Alienation in order to identify the recognition of signs of Parental Alienation (PA) by justice administrators and to compare results by genders, professions and institutions. For this purpose, a questionnaire was designed and validated by judges, which recorded empirical observation of parental alienation indicators, regardless of the whether participants know the theorical construct. The instrument achieved reliability with Cronbach's alpha α = .946 and unidimensionality with Tanaka index = .985. The results of the 263 justice administrators demonstrate high scores, average = 40.74 respect of a maximum of 55, it follows that the parental alienation is common and observable, unfortunately it evidences a serious social problem. Also it was performed a comparative analysis of results according to genders, professions and institutions, it was found that women presented significantly more signs of parental alienation and there were not differences by profesions and institutions.
