Objective: The study goals to identify the health needs related to arterial hypertension of consumers of a popular restaurant in São Paulo.. Methodology: An exploratory descriptive study was carried out, based on the Theory of Praxis Intervention in Public Health Nursing, with quantitative approach through a study of cross-section was applied a simple random simpling. Empirical data were collected through interviews with open and closed questions. The eligibility criteria for respondents were: adult of either gender, aged 18-80 years old. Results: 166 people were interviewed of which 14.46% reported being hypertensive and 10.84% currently taking antihypertensive medication. In general, their life styles and eating habits impoverished the maintenance of an adequate arterial pressure rate, and haven’t prevented these and other chronic ailments. Conclusion: There are social determinants that contribute to the outbreak and prevalence of cardiovascular diseases in this population with specific health needs, portrayed by the high potential of weariness in social reproduction as a consequence of poor integration into production.
