Introduction:
Pediatric nursing focuses on the care of children and adolescents, positioning as a resource that empathically understands these populations and, hence, facilitates the satisfaction of health needs in different care contexts (individual, family, community or social).
Objective:
To analyze some of the implications of pediatric nursing during the health emergency due to COVID-19.
Content synthesis:
Implications of pediatric nursing are exposed; for example, the improvement of lifestyles using appropriate online strategies for each age group. The development of research studies should then lead to the creation of information resources about a given disease and how to prevent it, in addition to promoting a more active educational and advisory role that allows satisfying the prevailing needs.
Conclusions:
The implications of pediatric nursing care for children and adolescents must be based on scientific evidence according to the interests of this population and the interdisciplinary work of health professionals.
