The president Uribe and their environment have thoroughly played it to him in the negotiation process with the paramilitary ones, although it is too soon to judge results that they can be considered durable. The one was invested that all the analysts, without exception, they had considered the natural order of the things as regards negotiation, the logical sequence: since the paramilitarismo existed in the guerrilla's function, to disable it, to contribute to its disappearance, it implied to arrive, in a previous way, to some type of negotiated solution with it. The political cost, if it fails, or the eventual dividends if it arrives to good term, it will finish assuming them without a doubt the next administration, anyone that it is.
