Abstract

GUILLEN, Diana. Democracy, Institutional Management And Poverty: Notes On Recent History Of Mexico. anal.polit. [online]. 2007, vol.20, n.60, pp.31-43. ISSN 0121-4705.

One of the premises on which this work is sustained, refers to the relationship between political and social spheres; the possibilities to establish democratic regimes go beyond electoral issues and power alternance. From that point of view, in the text can be found some of the limitations that lead us to think over again about democratic transition in Mexico; special attention is paid on economic inequality and institutional weakness.

Keywords : democracy; Mexico; institutions.
