Abstract

ROJAS, Diana Marcela. THE UNITED STATES' ROLE IN CONSTRUCTION OF PEACE IN COLOMBIA ABSTRACT. anal.polit. [online]. 2017, vol.30, n.91, pp.37-52. ISSN 0121-4705.  https://doi.org/10.15446/anpol.v30n91.70263.

This article posits that United States participation in the current peace-building process provides continuity to Washington’s interventionist policy initiated during the late 1990’s in the Colombian armed conflict. Consequently, the Colossus of the North maintains its direct impact on matters involving necessary preconditions as well as the direction of country’s post-conflict process itself.

Keywords : “Colombian-United States relations”; post-conflict; “peace agreements”; “international cooperation”..
