Abstract

VELA MURILLO, Norma Patricia. TERRITORIAL CONFLICTS, THINK TANKS AND COLOMBIAN PUBLIC POLICY. anal.polit. [online]. 2018, vol.31, n.92, pp.39-51. ISSN 0121-4705.  https://doi.org/10.15446/anpol.v31n92.71096.

This article analyzes existing relationships between territorial conflicts involving large-scale mining, think tanks and Colombian public policies involving mining regulations. Because most related Colombian public policies are focused on a spatial arrangement prioritizing configuration of mining districts as a fundamental strategy for promotion of a mining oriented country, a review of available literature and an analysis of the territorial conflict in the municipality of Cajamarca, Tolima, suggests that the current mineral-extraction-system-problem involves a conflicting structural axis. Thus, when territorialization processes are carried out, existing tensions among the various social actors emphasize overlapping authority and the diverse interests at stake.

Keywords : territorial conflicts; transnationals; public policies; territorialization.
