MIGUEZ, María Cecilia. THE CONCEPT OF IDEOLOGICAL PLURALISM IN LATIN AMERICA AND ARGENTINE FOREIGN POLICY (1971-1975). anal.polit. [online]. 2018, vol.31, n.94, pp.93-120. ISSN 0121-4705. https://doi.org/10.15446/anpol.v31n94.78242.
The objective of this article is to study, interpret and historize the concept of ideological pluralism in the Latin American context of the first half of the 1970s. In fact, this concept would express the promotion of international relations with all the countries of the world - even resuming links with socialist countries - but within the framework of the implementation of a greater degree of autonomy with respect to the United States, questioning the inter-American order and, at the same time, promoting with a new sense regional integration as a basis for development. We will then analyze the genesis of that concept or notion, its content and its variants, through those elements that we will consider its amalgamation in the Latin American continent. Then we will study in particular its journey and its becoming in Argentina in the period 1971-1975.
Palabras clave : ideological pluralism; Latin America; Cold War; Argentine foreign policy: inter-American.
