Abstract
RESTREPO PLAZA, Lina María. COOPERATION WITH EX-COMBATANTS: THE SOCIAL CHALLENGE OF THE POST-AGREEMENT. anal.polit. [online]. 2019, vol.32, n.95, pp.125-143. ISSN 0121-4705. https://doi.org/10.15446/anpol.v32n95.80832.
One of the main challenges for the peace accord implementation is to make sure that civil society and conflict affected population get to develop a peaceful communal living. This paper employs behavioural sciences strategies, and more specifically, a strategy-method public goods game, to compute the out-group bias of victims and non-victims against ex-combatants. The study takes place within a sports-based vocational training module implemented by SENA, DeporPaz. While there is in fact a significant reduction in subjects contributions, this is more appealing within the in-group domain than while comparing contributions towards the out-group. Such finding could be interpreted as a reduction of the out-group bias. The paper also categorises individuals among four possible types: conditional cooperators, free-riders, weak cooperators and fixed strategy cooperators.
Keywords : behavioural sciences; public goods; out-group bias; reintegration.
